How we decide what goes on the site, and what Last verified actually means.
We visit, or we say we did not
Stories are written after someone from YOKONOW has been to the place. Listings may be compiled from official sources, and when they are, the source is linked on the page.
Last verified
Every event and place carries the date we last confirmed its details against the official source or the venue itself. Anything older than 30 days is flagged internally for rechecking.
We do not guess dietary information
Halal, vegan and vegetarian availability is only marked when we have confirmed it. If we have not confirmed it, the page says Not verified rather than leaving you to assume.
Paid placement
Sponsored listings are labelled. Payment never changes the Last verified date, and it never buys a story.
